Hyuk “Jim” Jee is a first-year MCB student at Dartmouth College. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago (LUC) in 2018 with BS in Biochemistry and in Molecular Biology with a minor in Theatre. During undergrad, he was in a Chemistry Education lab with Dr. Patrick Daubenmire and an Enzymatics Kinetics lab with Dr. Miguel Ballicora and volunteered as a department mentor for chemistry/biochemistry-majoring freshmen. During the year of 2018-2019, he worked as a part-time Teaching Assistant in chemistry labs at LUC and as a full-time Research Technician in Ilya Ruvinsky’s lab at Northwestern University. After, he was met with a new opportunity as a Research Assistant/Laboratory Manager in Dr. Pui Lee’s lab at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he learnt about founding and managing a lab and did research on different rare pediatric diseases, mainly focusing on Deficiency in Adenosine Deaminase 2 (DADA2). Jim is an avid podcast listener who enjoys cooking Korean and Italian food. Welcome, Jim!
