Sadia Islam Kana is a first-year Ph.D. student in the MCB program. Before coming to
Dartmouth, Sadia received a Master’s degree from Western Michigan University. At Western, her
research focus was to evaluate the effectiveness of tanapoxvirus against cancer, a therapy known
as oncolytic virotherapy. She is an international student, originally from Bangladesh. She
received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Sadia enjoys
traveling and watching horror movies. Welcome, Sadia!
